About Pure City Research
We exist to answer one question: what does the evidence actually say about supplements and nutrition?
The supplement industry is built on a simple asymmetry — companies have every incentive to overstate benefits, and the people buying their products have neither the time nor the training to read the original studies.
Publisher independence. Pure City Research is an independent research publication published by Pure City Life. It is not funded by Pure City Shop. Publisher independence is distinct from the funding and conflicts of each cited study; we report those where they can be verified, and label missing information as unclear.
We close that gap. We review relevant research, report study funding and disclosed conflicts where they can be identified, and explain the strength and limitations of the evidence.
What we are
What we are not
- Not a medical practice — Nothing here is medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before supplementing, especially if you take medication or have a chronic condition.
- Not anti-supplement — When the evidence supports a supplement, we say so clearly. When it doesn't, we say that too.
- Not infallible — Evidence evolves, and so do we. To report an error or a newer source, use our Contact page. Substantive published changes should include a dated change note on the affected article.
Editorial standards
Ingredient articles are being standardized around an answer block, benefit-level evidence, relevant forms, material side effects and interactions, source disclosures, and a plain-language verdict. Check each article's visible sections and review metadata for its current status.
